Surakarta, 7 March 2024 – Thursday (7/3) a capital markets school event was held which was organized by the Capital Markets Study Group at Dharma University AUB Surakarta with the theme "Recognize the Initial Steps in Investing in the Capital Markets". This activity was held at the Garuda Graha Building, AUB Dharma University, Surakarta. This year's Capital Markets School (SPM) is quite different, whereas in previous years we only involved students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, but this year we have the opportunity to involve students from the Faculty of Computer Science, of course with the approval of the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and the Chancellor of Dharma University AUB Surakarta. The Capital Markets School (SPM) at Dharma University AUB Surakarta is a routine activity every semester which is held in collaboration with several parties, including the Investment Gallery, the Indonesian Stock Exchange, Central Java Representative Office 2 and a securities company (PT. Indopremier Sekuritas). It is hoped that this activity can be part of the steps to achieve the graduate profile of all study programs in the faculty of economics and business, especially in capital market material which is integrated in the faculty curriculum. And also for new knowledge about Investment, especially Capital Markets for Computer Science faculty students. This activity was held in the form of a seminar on the topic of investment literacy in the Indonesian capital market, especially for students who are taking capital market practicum courses. The aim of this activity is to provide literacy on investment instruments in the capital market to all students which is delivered directly by practitioners. Indicators of the achievements of this activity include the number of participants who took part in the activity and the number of participants who registered to create a Customer Fund Account (RDN).

The event was opened by the MC, then singing the song Indonesia Raya and continuing with the reading of prayers. Followed by welcoming remarks, then the main event began, namely the presentation of material by Mr. Ari Seta Kurniawan from the Indonesian Stock Exchange provided material introducing investment, especially investment in the capital market, to students. Followed by the presentation of the second material by Mr. Wisnu R Putro from PT Indo Premiere Sekuritas who provided material on how to choose the right capital market products and how to buy capital market products through the securities platform, namely IPOT. Then it continued with a question and answer session between the seminar participants and the two speakers. At the end of the event there was a quiz with RDN prizes for the 3 winners, the quiz contained the material that had been given by the two presenters.

With this Capital Markets School activity, it is hoped that it will be a change for students from the Faculty of Economics and Business and the Faculty of Computer Science, Dharma University AUB Surakarta to find out more about investment, especially in the capital market.
