On Saturday, June 8 2024, the UNTIRTA Capital Markets Study Group (KSPM) carried out the first Internal Capital Markets School activity offline in the classroom, on the 4th Floor of the Faculty of Economics and Business Building, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University Campus, Sindangsari. The aim of holding this event is as an educational program and to increase the understanding and skills of students at UNTIRTA so they can invest in the capital market.
The Internal Capital Markets School event started at 1 pm and was attended by 55 participants. The event opened with an opening by the Master of Ceremony, then singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya, then remarks from Muhammad Anshorulloh (Chief Executive of SPM Internal), Muhammad Ariq Rahman (General Chair of KSPM FEB UNTIRTA), and Mrs. Dr. Hj. Iis Ismawati, S.E., M.Sc. as Director of the UNTIRTA Investment Gallery, followed by an opening prayer.
KSPM FEB UNTIRTA presented Mr. Krishna Dwi Setiawan, representative from PT. Lotus Andalan Securities, to guide the First Capital Markets School. Mr. Krishna on his occasion presented material on "Fundamental Analysis" where the analysis aims to determine the intrinsic value of a company by involving assumed factors such as macroeconomics, cycles, sectoral conditions, financial performance, as well as other quantitative and qualitative factors.
He also said that Fundamental Analysis is not an absolute science because the facts in the field have different analysis results. He also touched on Warren Buffet's investment strategy regarding great businesses usually found in banking, consumer and pharmaceutical companies. Then calculate whether a share price is expensive or within a reasonable price from a company's financial statements, and ends with a question and answer session and discussion, followed by documentation from the participants with the presenters.
