The 2024 election is now over, Candidate number two, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, has been declared the winner of the contest after announcing the 2024 election results on March 21 with votes reaching 58.59% of the total national valid votes. This certainly provides certainty to investors who have been hesitant to invest in shares because they are worried that the elected president will have a negative impact on the industry and the shares they are investing in. With the election of pair number two as president and vice president in 2024, investors have certainly started to look at several industries that are considered to have the potential to develop under Prabowo Subianto's leadership, including:
The green energy sector itself was initiated by Prabowo and Gibran with the aim of reducing carbon emissions and maximizing Indonesia's natural resources which have the potential to support this sector. Prabowo and his party coalition team also stated that they strongly support the downstream program. This makes the mining industry benefit greatly, especially as nickel, bauxite, copper and lithium are minerals that are often used to make batteries, electric cars and solar power plants. Apart from that sector green energy Investors have started to attract interest since last year, as evidenced by nickel and green energy which is included in the Largest Initial Share Listing/IPO in 2023
Currently, in Indonesia there is a lot of buzz about Prabowo Gibran's program, namely the "Program makan siang dan susu gratis" which was first initiated during the 2024 election. In fact, this program is starting to be included in the RAPBN in 2025 with a budget of 400-460 trillion with pilot project amounting to 5 trillion. Milk producers are also happy because demand for UHT milk in Indonesia is still relatively low (14.8L/Capita) compared to several neighboring countries, such as the Philippines (16.6L/Capita), Thailand (34.1L/Capita), and Malaysia (53 .2L/Capita). This could certainly be an opportunity for investors to start investing in the dairy industry and for producers to further increase their production by expanding.
The construction and property sectors are also often of concern to investors because of the ongoing development of IKN and infrastructure development that will be intensively carried out in the next few years. With the existence of IKN, it is hoped that equitable development will be realized. Investors in Indonesia themselves have started to observe several vendors that are being held up, so this has created a big opportunity for issuers operating in the construction and property sector such as ADHI, WSKT, WIKA AND PTPP which are directly involved in the IKN project. Apart from that, there are properties that have risen sharply because they feel they are benefiting, such as PWON and CTRA
Apart from that, investors are also paying attention to the closeness of the candidate for state leadership to several owners of giant corporate groups such as Prayogo Pangestu, Sugianto Kusuma or often called Aguan, Franky Widjadja, Garibaldi Tohir. Each of them certainly has a business in the sector that Mr. Probowo wants to develop
- Prayogo Pangestu has BREN, BRPT, PTRO as companies that develop green energy
- Sugianto Kusuma owns PWON, PANI, as a property company
- Franky Widjadja owns INKP as the largest paper producing company in Indonesia
- Garibaldi Tohit owns ADRO, and 7.46% ownership of MDKA
With good relationships with the entrepreneurs above, it is hoped that the government will be able to establish good cooperation to build a golden Indonesia 2045.
